Luxury-industry has suffered from shattering blow of crisis, but the Financial Times edition is not despaired of millionaires’ products market potential.
Recently the Financial Times has announced about plans to issue new magazine for owners of large fortune – the FT Wealth, the first issue of magazine will be available in the USA on the 16th of October. Slick magazine is meant exclusively for millionaires whose personal wealth exceeds USD 1,65 million, and this amount does not include the cost of the real estate belonging to the clients of the Financial Times. Total circulation of FT Wealth will be about 100 thousand copies.
Principal competitor of FT Wealth in the USA is the similar edition – Wall Street Journal, as far as its main readership also includes owners of large wealth. Content of such magazines for the last year has changed significantly. Along with traditional symbols of luxury the magazine will cover issues of large fortune management. For example, in the first issue of American FT Wealth the articles about impact of financial crisis upon American currency value will be represented alongside with articles about whisky as alternative investment object.
